We’re very excited about our field trip to the Springfield Museums next Friday, September 29th. The bus leaves the school at 8:30 am, so please don’t be late. Breakfast will be served from 8:05-8:20. We will make one stop at the Park and Ride at approximately 8:50, please let Laurie or Mrs. Griffin know if your student will be getting picked up there. Thanks also to the parents and guardians who volunteered to be chaperones, we couldn’t do it without you. We will also be arriving back at the school after dismissal (approximately 4:00 at the Park and Ride, 4:30 at the school), the regular school bus will not run, so families are responsible for picking students up at one of the two locations.
Here is a link to some great resources, some of which we’re using at the school, to help you and your student learn about the Springfield Museums: https://springfieldmuseums.org/
Next Wednesday, Wednesday, September 27, the Preschool is visiting Pine Hill Orchard. If you have any questions, ask Mrs. Baker.
It was great to see so many people at our Open House! Your support of your student’s education is a big part of their success. Students were excited to show their families their classrooms and what they’ve been doing. You’re always welcome to visit and observe, or volunteer. Just coordinate your visit with your student’s teacher.
The next event is our hike for students in grades K-6, in two weeks, Friday, October 6th. We’re hiking High Ledges in Shelburne. More information will be coming soon. Also, The PTP Flower Power fundraiser kicks off today. The company offers a variety of spring bulbs for fall planting as well as wrapping paper and sprouting supplies. The school will receive 50% of the proceeds. The order form will be coming home with your student today, and you can visit the site and send this link out to friends and family: http://www.flowerpowerfundraising.com/campaign?campaign_id=25473&user_campaign_id=539009
