The PTP is working for our school!

It was a great trip to the Springfield Museums last week. The students really seemed to get a lot out of it, and many of them want to go back. Thank you to the chaperones, and to the PTP for helping with a portion of the cost of the buses. We’re looking forward to tomorrow’s hike up High Ledges, and thank you in advance to the chaperones who will be hiking with us.

The PTP met this week. Look elsewhere in this newsletter for information about upcoming plans and about the PTP in general. The organization does so much for the school, and will only be strengthened by more participation. I encourage you to consider participating in a way that works for you. Their next meeting is Wednesday, November 1st at 8:00 am. They’re planning the Kid Mudder and Trail Run for Saturday, October 14th, hope you and your student will participate! They’re also organizing a Hurrican Relief fundraiser for the week of October 23rd. Look for details coming soon.

One big event the PTP helps organize each year is the Tailgate Trick or Treating, which will happen at the school on Friday, October 27th, at 5:30 pm, followed by a Community Pot Luck Dinner at 6:15 pm, with some surprises planned. If you’re new to the school, ask someone about Tailgate Trick or Treating.  It’s a fun Rowe School tradition. You can always call the school for more information.

A quick safety note: The parking lot/driveway at the school is always One Way, up the driveway, to the right, around the traffic circle and out, stopping if the lights on the bus are flashing red. Please don’t exit the wrong way from the parking lot.  It could be dangerous for you and other drivers. Also, any student walking in the parking lot should be accompanied by an adult, and should use the painted crosswalk. Thank you.

With the long weekend coming up, here’s a link to a great list of things to do in Western Mass. with kids:
