Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving, a safe (though short) vacation, and you have the time you want with family, friends and food this long weekend.

There is a lot of learning going on about Poland at the Rowe School in all the classrooms. After visits from an expert in Polish folklore, and a Polish paper cutting artist, we visited the Polish Center of Discovery and Learning in Chicopee this week. We discovered many amazing things and learned a lot of cool facts; ask your student what they liked or learned. Don’t forget, the performance is Thursday, December 13 at 6:30, students will need to arrive by 6:15, and the gym will open at 6:00 so you can see all the amazing artwork students have produced.

I encourage you to come to the school if you have time and observe or volunteer in your student’s classroom. There is no better way to know exactly what’s happening in your child’s education.

As the holidays approach and life feels increasingly busy, I’d like to share with you an article I liked about the importance of slowing down and daydreaming. I hope you find it useful: http://ww2.kqed.org/mindshift/2012/06/01/why-daydreaming-isnt-a-waste-of-time/
