Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, which at Rowe School means it’s Staff Appreciation Week. That’s because without everyone who works at the Rowe School, the teachers could not do the amazing work they do with students. Thanks in advance to the PTP for all they do to show the staff how appreciated they are.
Speaking of the PTP, which I do often and fondly, their next meeting is Tuesday, May 8 at 8 a.m. They are looking for a chairperson, a co-chairperson, and secretary for next year. If you might be interested in any of these positions, please let the PTP know or attend Tuesday’s meeting. It is an important source of support for the school, and needs parent and guardian involvement to continue. It is open to both Rowe and Choice parents and guardians, please consider joining.
Interviews start next week for the teaching position and continue for the nurse position. I’ll keep you updated on the progress.
Among the many things I love about our school is the amount that the teachers get the students outside! Just yesterday, the 3/4 class was working with Mr. Beebe on a woodworking project, the Primary class was walking to the Park for some Science observations. We are blessed with a beautiful and resource-full area to educate in, and a dedicated and resourceful staff to take advantage of it. The 5/6 class worked hard on the MCAS test this week (next week is 5th grade Science), and the Preschool made some beautiful decorations for Earth Day that are hanging in the lobby. Check them out!
No link this week, just a quote that I came across and thought was useful: “Life is simple. Are you happy? Yes? Keep going. No? Change something.” Have a great week.
